There are several world class ski resorts in Denver, Colorado
vicinity. As you head west on interstate 70 the first ski area you will
see is Loveland ski area. It is small and very quaint mountain. But
it has big time runs and views.
If you stay on I-70
through the Eisenhower Tunnel. Yes you will drive through the mountain
you will pop out the other side in Summit County. Summit County is home
to 4 world class resorts Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge (Breck)
and Copper Mountain.
To
be honest I am fond of Breck. I spent four winters as a ski bum there
from the '98-'02. It was a blast and by far my favorite town in Summit
County.
You
will find all you need in Summit County. There is an abundance of
powder, beer and food. After you visit there the first time you will
want to go back again and again. Summit County definitely offers some
of the best ski resorts in denver colorado area.
